San Bernardino County Fire Response – Grass Valley

This project consisted of a massive debris removal operation for 284 homes that were burned during the Southern California firestorms. Major activities included Health & Safety monitoring for personnel; separation of waste streams for recycling; transport and disposal of all fire related debris; demolition of concrete structures and foundations. This work required Sukut employees to work in Level C protection at all times in the Exclusion Zone.
The following is a brief description of work completed:
• Debris removal, loading, and transport of over 55,000 tons.

Rancho Bernardo – FR

This project consisted of a massive debris removal operation for homes that were burned during the Southern California firestorms. Major activities included Health & Safety monitoring for personnel; separation of waste streams for recycling; transport and disposal of all fire related debris; demolition of concrete structures and foundations. This work required Sukut employees to work in Level C protection at all times in the Exclusion Zone.

• Sukut provided four experienced work crews to the project.

Lake Tahoe Fire Response

Sukut was part of a CIWMB response team that completed the Angora Debris removal project in Lake Tahoe. Sukut was under contract to A.J. Diani and provided a number of work crews to the site to expedite the project. Sukut was able to quickly mobilize skilled work crews with 40-hour HazMat training that allowed the project to be completed within the very aggressive time frame established by the CIWMB.
The following is a brief description of work completed:
• Sukut provided four experienced work crews to the project and completed about 1/2 of the total project.

Tracy Tire Fire Site Remediation Services

After burning for two and one-half years, Sukut was called upon to extinguish the nations’ longest burning tire fire. An ingenious combination of foam, water and heavy equipment ingenuity made this task possible.
All work was coordinated and managed by Sukut and Cal EPA on a cost-plus basis. Much of the work was performed by Sukut crews in Level 3, HazMat safety gear The Tracy site involved the loading and disposal of 90,000 tons of Class 1 and Class 2 hazardous wastes.
