David GrattanVice President, Nothern California
As the Vice President of Northern California, David Grattan is responsible for leading the company in expanding their presence and production in the surrounding geography. David is also focused on working with the award-winning team of Sukut’s professionals to pursue and deliver projects across all of the company’s markets: Residential Grading, Public Works, Environmental Services, Alternative Energy, and Joint Ventures.
A native of Southern California, David has been helping to shape and re-shape California landscape since taking his first construction job with the Irvine Company back in 1983. He joined Sukut in 1994 as a Project Manager and has continued to develop a deep knowledge of the construction industry. Prior to his most recent assignment, David has worked successfully as an Estimator, Project Manager, and as the Vice President for Environmental Construction and Joint Ventures at Sukut.
Results oriented and project focused, David has more than 33 years of successful construction and development experience. His expertise and background include program and project management for a variety of complex construction projects, in a number of sectors, including: Real Estate Development, Heavy Civil Construction, Mass Earthmoving, Environmental Construction, Alternative Energy (Solar and Wind), Earth Fill Dams, Roadways, and Public Infrastructures. His unique construction background coupled with a natural entrepreneurial spirit have helped David create numerous partnering opportunities for Sukut in both the Public and Private sectors.
David holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from UC Irvine (1984) and a Master’s Degree in Business from the Paul Merage School of Business (1988). He is also an avid golfer, member of several boards, and active in a number of charitable organizations including The Free Wheelchair Mission.
