Otay Quarry

This quarry is located adjacent to the Sleep Train Amphitheater in Chula Vista, CA. Sukut was asked to start up this quarry from scratch on a piece of property that had previously been mined then sold. Sukut brought in Mining equipment, crushers, and blasting contractors. Sukut also MSHA trained and certified the new employees, staff, and subcontractors working on the site and installed scale houses and office facilities. Sukut installed a new accounting and operating system for the owner and hired their management staff. Once the quarry became operational and self-reliant, Sukut turned over the everyday operations to the new management. Sukut also built a COR (Championship Off-Road) race track on site that held several races that were open to the public for the owner.
