L-4 Pump Station Relocation, Phase II Project

Working for Coachella Valley Water District, Sukut is relocating the L-4 Pump Station east from its current location to a point on the north side of the All American Canal, just west of Jefferson Street in the city of La Quinta, California. The new pump station contains a steel-framed control building, three 125 horsepower pumps, three 100 horsepower pumps,  a 7,500-gallon surge tank with an air compressor, and a 5,000-gallon surge tank with an air compressor.

The existing L-4 pump station will then be decommissioned and demolished once the new pump station is operational. Sukut will also extend a 24-inch irrigation pipeline 1,300 lineal feet east toward the new pump station, along the north side of the canal.
