- Description of Project:
This project involves 16,000 linear feet of channel improvements, with a total of over 100,000 cubic yards of concrete to be placed. The improvements consist of 2,500 linear feet of reinforced concrete box (RCB) culverts, 8,700 linear feet of concrete-lined trapezoidal channels, 3,200 linear feet of rectangular concrete channels, and 1,600 linear feet of concrete channel transition structures. The work includes constructing two upstream inlets and one downstream outlet, which has concrete headwalls, wingwalls, aprons, buried side slope, and scour protection. It also includes reconstructing and restoring irrigation, landscaping, walkways, fencing, and other existing facilities. Also included in the project is the crossing of six existing public streets. Work at these crossings will consist of the construction of RCB culverts, utility relocations, and street reconstruction, as well as a traffic signal relocation for one of the crossings.
