Prime contractor Sukut Construction performed grading and demo operations in front of the ongoing erection of Reefer Racks – the red steel structures in the backdrop — inside an active Port of Los Angeles shipping terminal. The scope of work included the reconstruction of 21 acres of an active container terminal yard, ductile iron pipe waterline installations in an active port terminal, an extensive RCP, HDPE, and PVC drainage and filtration system, grading, concrete, and paving work. The construction of this schedule-oriented job marked the completion of infrastructure for the first-ever automated terminal to be built on the West Coast.
