To achieve this, Sukut’s management team provides training and encourages staying proactive in industry certifications. Receiving such certifications is proof of professional and personal dedication to one’s work, co-workers, projects, and clients. This shows the drive to achieve the next level of knowledge in order to protect those around. With this in mind, Sukut is very excited to announce that their own safety superintendent, Rick Fraser, has passed the Board of Safety Professional’s certification exam for Safety Management Specialist (SMS). The SMS is a new type of certification that is designed for safety professionals who want to develop skills and knowledge to safely oversee organizational practices.
When a possibility of the exam was announced earlier this year, Rick became very enthusiastic. He made passing the exam his main goal and put a lot of personal time studying for the test. Once Rick received his certification, he said, “I am very happy to have passed the Safety Management Specialist test. I have wondered for the past two months as this was a beta test through the Board Of Certified Safety Professionals with results not released for a few months. Thanks to Sukut for all the support from start to finish”. Rick sets an example for his peers as he has grown tremendously as a professional and continues to develop his knowledge and skills.
